AWS CLI Setup on Windows
In this article, I am going to discuss AWS CLI Setup on Windows. Please read our previous article where we discussed AWS Access Keys, CLI, and SDK. We are going to install AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) on Windows. For this, we do AWS CLI install windows on Google.
And this will give us the list link and we want to install the AWS-CLI version 2 on Windows. This is the latest and so we will be up to date. It does not change much versus version 1 it is just some improved performance and capability the API’s exactly the same and there’s also an improved installer.
Install on Windows where you can just simply install it using the MSI installer, I just click on this link to download the MSI installer.
Then I’m going to run the installer, Click on Next. Again, click on Next, Install, and done. Click on allow, and Click on Finish.
Then open a command line, do command line, Command Prompt.
Go to windows, type AWS version, and then enter.
Result: AWS CLI (a version starts with a 2, then Python) which means that your AWS CLI is now properly installed on Windows. Finally, just note that if you want to upgrade your AWS CLI then you just need to re-download that MSI installer and just re-run the installation and it will be automatically upgraded.
In the next article, I am going to discuss AWS CLI Setup on Mac. Here, in this article, I try to explain AWS CLI Setup on Windows and I hope you enjoy this article.
